Know yourself. Free yourself. Be yourself.

Sacred Reflection
Every Step I Surrender
I didn’t understand surrender.
I thought it was weakness—
a giving up,
a fading out,
too soft to survive.
So I worshipped willpower.
Built a life with my own two hands.
Accumulated, achieved, endured.
The mansion.
The marriage.
The mirrors of success.
But behind the curtain, I was crumbling.
Exhausted.
Traumatized.
Numb.
All I wanted was to be loved.
And then, surrender came.
Not as defeat—
but as a doorway.
A whisper from the soul saying,
“There’s a bigger picture you can’t yet see.”
I let it all fall.
I released the illusion.
I got a tattoo on my right foot:
surrender.
So every step I take,I remember the vow—
To walk with trust.
To be led.
To follow the pulse of the divine within.
I still act.
I still show up.
I still move.
But now—
my compass is my captain.
My impulse is my oracle.
And my life is no longer built from force,
but from flow.
This is not weakness.
This is wisdom.
This is surrender.

Reflections
What beliefs have you carried about surrender? Was it something you feared, avoided, or misunderstood
Where in your life have you relied on control, force, or willpower to feel safe? What cost has that had on your spirit?
What would it feel like to trust the unseen rhythm of your soul? Where is surrender trying to enter your life now?
What vow do you want to make to yourself today—about how you walk, how you trust, and how you surrender?
Journaling
Find a quiet space where you can be still. Light a candle and place your feet flat on the floor.
Whisper, “I surrender to the rhythm of my soul.”
Read the poem aloud.
Then journal your own definition of surrender. What does it feel like? What are you ready to release? And what promise do you make to yourself with every step you take?
